Guardian of Light: Ronda Meyer

Guardians of Light: Our People, Our Stories. At Saint Joseph’s Children’s Home, the real magic comes from the people who pour their hearts into serving our youth and families every single day. Our staff brings compassion, creativity, and resilience to every role—and we think it’s time to celebrate them!

Staff Spotlight: RONDA MEYER

Role: Executive Director
Years at SJCH: 20 years

Ronda has been part of the Saint Joseph’s Children’s Home team for 20 years and now serves as Executive Director. When asked what reminds her why she does this work, she reflected on the privilege of witnessing faith in action each day. Watching youth heal, rediscover hope, and seeing staff continually show up with compassion and commitment for youth, families, and one another. For Ronda, those everyday moments of care and healing are what make this work so meaningful.

  • What the youth have taught her: Resilience. Their strength and determination, even in the face of trauma, reflect why St. Joseph’s exists—to provide a safe, compassionate place where healing and hope can take root.
  • Her role: As Executive Director of St. Joseph’s, I help lead an organization grounded in faith and compassion that supports youth and families during times when healing and stability matter most. My role is really about caring for the mission, supporting the people doing the work, and building strong partnerships in the communities we serve.
  • 3 words for SJCH: Grace, healing, and hope.
  • Mascot pick: A Shepherd is the heart of St. Joseph’s—guiding with compassion and protecting with care, much like a shepherd walking alongside those entrusted to them.
  • Superpower wish: A built-in GPS for hope, rerouting when the road is rough and helping others find the next right step toward healing, even in the dark.
  • Fun fact: She has spent time training in ballroom and Latin dance, so rhythm, timing, and quick pivots—especially in heels—feel pretty natural to her.
