Staff Spotlight: Kristin Mann

Role: Education Coordinator
Years at SJCH: 1 year

Kristin has been the Education Coordinator at Saint Joseph’s Children’s Home for the past year, helping students discover their potential and celebrate their successes. When asked what made her think, “Yep, this is why I do this,” she recalled the first time she saw a youth’s eyes widen and a smile spread across their face, the unmistakable moment when something finally clicked, and they truly understood.

  • What the youth have taught her: The youth at SJCH have reaffirmed her belief that we need to take joy in every milestone as we grow, no matter how small.
  • Her role: As SJCH’s Education Coordinator, I support staff and students in their growth. I collaborate with administration to align goals, guide educators in their professional development, and encourage continuous skill-building. I also help students stay on track toward their academic goals, fostering a culture of learning and progress.
  • 3 words for SJCH: Compassionate, supportive, purposeful.
  • Mascot pick:A turtle would be a good mascot for SJCH because, through perseverance and resilience, we are all growing at our own pace.
  • Superpower wish: Omnipresence
  • Fun fact: She is a little more than halfway done with her goal to camp in every state.
