ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH’S CHILDREN’S HOME

At Saint Joseph’s Children’s Home, we believe every young person deserves a safe place to heal, grow, and discover their potential. Since 1930, we’ve welcomed youth ages six to seventeen who face some of life’s toughest challenges, helping them find paths forward through compassionate, expert care. Our work is built on the promise that with the right support, they can overcome obstacles, build resilience, and envision brighter futures.

Nestled in the heart of Torrington, Wyoming, our campus offers not just treatment but a sanctuary—a place where up to 62 youth can find a fresh start. From around-the-clock supervision to specialized programs in social skills, therapy, behavioral health, education, and recovery, every aspect of our care is designed to meet each individual where they are. Here, they don’t just receive services; they learn skills to thrive, connect, and build meaningful lives beyond our doors.

Transforming what healing looks like.

TRUE MIRACLES

"Driving to Torrington yesterday I was overwhelmed once again with emotion but this time with gratitude for all that has been accomplished with Jacob and our family over the last 6 months. I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child and sometimes with kids like Jacob that village is larger than you ever imagined it would be. You all are a big part of Jacob's story and success.

You gave him that sense of security at Saint Joseph's when he needed it most. You were exactly what he needed at a very tough time in his life. You were also a tremendous support to me when Jacob was really struggling. You listened to my concerns and assured me we could work through whatever Jacob threw at us..."

YOUTH PSYCHIATRIC, BEHAVIORAL,
AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Saint Joseph’s Children’s Home understands the profound impact trauma can have on youth and families, making trauma-informed care a cornerstone of our treatment approach. We assess each resident for past and present trauma, both before and at the time of admission. This information guides a personalized treatment plan that integrates trauma-focused interventions aimed at healing and resilience that supports each youth’s emotional, psychological, and behavioral well-being.
