Dear Friends:
Thank you for visiting our Website. The mission at Saint
Joseph's Children's Home is to provide comprehensive Residential
Treatment services to children and their families, especially
emotionally disturbed children. These children often come
to Saint Joseph’s as a last resort. Saint Joseph’s offers
hope in the face of a society that has rejected them repeatedly
for their feelings of anger, mistrust, confusion and low self-esteem.
Our days are filled with ministering to the children who come
here with broken spirits, broken hearts and broken relationships.
We allow them to express and deal with these feelings and
problems. In addition, children are introduced to Christianity
during their stay at Saint Joseph’s and are given a spiritual
base to build upon the rest of their lives. No matter who
rejects them, God will always be by their side, guiding them
with a hand of comfort and reassurance.
St. Joseph’s relies heavily upon the generous donations
and memorial gifts from people such as you. These contributions
are tax-deductible. All funds received from both donations
and memorial gifts are utilized for direct care services to
children. The need for your gift has never been greater.
Through your generous support the Hart Children's Center, a residential living unit, was officially completed and opened
in August 2002. The St. John Bosco Center was officially completed and opened in Novemeber 2004. These
new living units provide a wonderful place for the children to reside during their treatment.
St. John Bosco had the marvelous gift of being able to control lively
children without any of the common methods of discipline, simply by positive
means. St. Joseph's Children's Home also follows this line of teaching, represented
by the Boy's Town Teaching Model. We are all very excited with this opportunity to
have new living units for the children and to follow in St. John Bosco's footsteps by helping
the children down the road of life. Reaching out to hurting children is a ministry of
love. Our children are depending upon you to help us on this crucial ministry.
We at St. Joseph's Children's Home, Newell Children's Center, Hart Children's
Center and the St. John Bosco Center will continue to offer opportunities of healing to our struggling youth. Without
the generosity of our supporters, St. Joseph's Children's Home would be unable to remain
in operation; thus removing any chance of hope in the lives of so many hurting children.
Please consider helping us in our mission of serving youth, for they truly are our
greatest resource.
