St. Joseph's Children's
Home/Newell Children's Center provides residential services to boys and
girls ages 6-17 with primary mental health and chemical dependency
problems. For a child/adolescent to qualify for admission the following
conditions must be present:
- Current problems with
mental health or dysfunctional behavior that are so severe the child
cannot be maintained in a less restrictive environment.
- Child/adolescent must be
ambulatory and physically and emotionally capable of participating
in St. Joseph's/Newell Center
residential program.
Children/adolescents
may not be eligible for admission with the following conditions:
- Acute psychiatric
instability requiring 24-hour medical services.
- Severe Mental Retardation
- Active physical health
problems requiring 24 hour medical and/or nursing care and
supervision.
No
child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, national
origin, age, or handicap.
THE FOLLOWING
DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED UPON ADMISSION:
- Social History
- Court Order
- Immunization Record
- Title XIX number and card

If the
Admission Application is faxed, please mail the original as soon as
possible.
